    Can anyone tell me how easy/difficult it is to network desktop comps and what software is needed, if any ?

    		I have not done this, but I believe that all the software for networking comes with the Windows Operating system. It is there in a crude form in Windows 95, in full in Windows NT and Windows 2000. You should designate one computer as a server and let it run the Networking software. The server should not be used for anything else. Connect your printer to it and give it the biggest disk storage. You can then share these across the network. The other computers in the network are called clients. THey can be running the Windows 95/98/ME operating system even if the server is running Windows NT/2000.
