On a different definition of largest, the Wandering Albatross (Diomedea Exulans) is the largest. This (sea) bird has the largest wingspan, at 3.4 m (11 feet), although it only weighs 6.5kg compared with the bustard's 18kg. http://www.oceanwings.co.nz/albatross.htm
