    Can anyone confirm that the British actor Eric Porter is the only actor to play both Sherlock Holmes, and Professor Moriarty, at differrent times obviously! if not can anyone tell me which other actor(s) played both roles?

    		Can find no trace of Eric Porter having played Sherlock Holmes. However, Orson Welles played Holmes on radio in 1938, and Moriarty in 1955. Michael Pennington played Holmes on TV and Moriarty on radio, and Jeremy Brett seems to have somehow played both parts in Secret of Sherlock Holmes on TV. I'm not sure, maybe he just posed as him in that.

    		Christopher Lee has played Sherlock Holmes, Moriarty AND Mycroft Holmes (Sherlock's brother)in movies and is the only actor to have done all three. Are you a Holmes fan?
