    How was April 15 designated as income tax day?

    		April 5 in the UK is because of the calendar shift - the year end date used to be the quarter day, March 25th, and when the calendar was changed the tax date changed with it. Why the US use April 15 I don't know - Google elicits the information that it's National Griper's Day too though.
