Did you mean single score by one person?
Bradman scored 947 runs (avg 139.14) in the 1930 test series against England which is the highest aggregate ever in a test series.

His 309 runs on 11th July 1930 during his innings of 334 v England at Leeds, is the highest in a days play in a test match.

The gorm is now slightly out of date. In 1998 Sri Lanka racked up 952 for 6 dec in their first innnings versus India. The highest 2nd innings total is 671-4 by NZ v SL in 1991. (the 1121 one team aggregate is still correct)

The highest individual score is Lara's 375. The highest 2nd innings effort is Hanif Mohammed with 337.

The individual best for a match is Graham Gooch with 456 (333 and 123) v. India in 1990.

Allan Border is still the only man to have made 150 plus in both innings of a match (v. Pakistan 1980).

Lara holds another high scoring record of note -- most runs scored by an individual finishing on the losing side - 351 (221 and 130) v Sri Lanka 2001.
