    Why was Trooping of the Colour cancelled in 1972?

    says it was only cancelled once in 1955 because of the train strike.

    No luck with 1972, but the Trooping of the Colour in London was abandoned on the 24th June 1909 due to thunderstorms.

    Even part of the official web site gives 1955 only as being cancelled during Elizabeth II's reign.
