When you walked into a classroom, all you could see were legs: the chairs and stools (eith 3 legs) were all upside down on the tables. If you counted 39 legs, how many chairs (4 legs) and Stools (with 3 legs) were there?

Could be 9 chairs + one stool or 3 chairs + 9 stools as well if you do not count your own legs in the total. 7 chairs + 3 stools + you if you do

This question is a bit ambiguous. Is it only the legs of the chairs and stools that total 39? If so, there are two possible answers: 6 chairs and 5 stools 3 chairs and 9 stools It can't be 9 chairs and 1 stool, because we are told that there is more than one stool. But if we count our own legs in the total, we get a different answer, and there are at least two tables, so if we count these as having 8 legs between them, that's a different answer again.
