    I read somewhere about ice-boring voles that tunnel under the ice and, with the heat from their noses, bore through the ice to gnaw at the feet of hapless animals that happen to be standing there. I can't remember where I read this and cannot find anything more about this topic anywhere. Does anyone else know about ice-boring voles?
