Whenever the 'History Channel' on cable television refers to a date that occurred before the birth of Jesus of Nazarath they use the term BCE (Before the Common Era) and I haven't heard them use B.C. for a long long time. I simply assumed that BCE had replaced B.C. as the proper jargon of the archeological community. Is that true or false?

The battle according to Guiness was the battle of Chalons sur Marne in +451 of the current numbering system (451 AD) 200,000 allegedly killed in one day.
