This question has been asked before. The answer is that it will spiral either to the left or to the right, as it does anywhere else on the earth's surface. There is no difference whatsoever between the northern and southern hemispheres in this regard. I can assure you that this is correct as I have experimented for myself.

It is an old wife's tale or urban myth. The way that the water in your toilet swirls is determined by the way that your toilet is built, not which hemisphere you live in.
