pirate - I have tried my best to find the answer you need,as yet no luck - but there is a very comprehensive site on: http://edcwww.cr.usgs.gov/ I'll keep looking!

Thanks for your time and efforts, Siskin. I even emailed the company that now owns and operates the Landsat equipment, I was so frustrated. No reply, of course!

As soon as I read the question, I thought the answer was the Amazon. Loren McIntyre finally put the true source of the river to rest not long ago. He had been saying for years that the true source had never been pin pointed. Now he has proved it. I read a book about one of the expeditions, and I figure if the source was wrong all these years, it wasn't too much of a stretch that it had been charted wrong as well. I looked for a source to confirm my thought, but was unable to find one. So, I'm not 100 percent sure. Saw some fabulous photos thought. Check this one out. Just another photo it says!!!!
