This deciduous tree has large, tear shaped glossy leaves, and in winter, exhibits both catkins and cones, but the catkins are more abundant. What tree is this? Which country is the largest consumer of edible nuts? Which tree has fireproof bark? Can anyone identify this tree? It has cone shaped spikes of furry, dark red flowers in summer and autumn, and the leaves are long, and each has 7-13 individual, tear shaped leaflets. It looks a bit like a giant Celosia. Can anyone help?
