When you say 'different guises' are you looking for aliases? To the best of my knowledge, Paul Weller only ever topped the chart (in this case the UK chart) as a member of The Jam. Jun 18 02, 8:42 PM

Weller topped the chart four times with the Jam (Going Underground/Dreams of Children, Start, Town Called Malice/Precious, Beat Surrender). He also appeared on the first version of Band Aid's 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' which also reached number one. In addition to the Style Council and as a solo artist he has had hits with 'The Council Collective' ( a collaborative effort raising money for the miners strike) - although this was mainly the Style Council in another guise. He has also performed as the 'Paul Weller Movement'. This was post-style council (although involved lots of their associated musicians).
