I think Teddy may have meant Memento which has the main character Leonard Shelby played by Guy Pearce. Shelby has a serious neurological disorder, a kind of tabula rasa complex. The onset of the disorder was a blow to his head when a man who raped his wife attacked him. He can remember about 15 consecutive minutes of his life. But after that period of time his slate is swept clean and he remembers nothing of the past 15 minutes. Of course, the main exception to this disorder is that he remembers his life before the trauma to his head.
