    Why do flies like poop?

    		Most animals digest their food very inefficiently, so there is still lots of nourishment left in 'poop'.

    		I actually came across the answer to this a few weeks ago when looking for an organic or homemade pesticide. Raid may work, but I won't use it. Anyway, the reason for flies hanging around poop and other warm moist areas, is that they are the ideal spots for laying eggs and give the larvae something to eat while they develop into pupa.
