Recently watching Jay Leno and Conan O'Brian, I have realized, there have been a lot of funny jokes regarding Martha Stewart, was there something that happened regarding Martha Stewart in the past few weeks, or did I just notice the abundant references to Martha Stewart on the Tonight Show and Late Night?

    Question #20925. Asked by g.

    Brainy Blonde

Some people are accusing her of insider trading when she sold a large number of
shares of a company that made a nose-dive on the stock market not long after they
were sold. The CEO of the company involved is a friend of hers and he has been
charged with insider trading, fraud and a host of other things. The only way
anyone will ever know, is if the person she allegedly got the information from
comes forward, thereby implicating themselves and I don't think that's going to
happen any time soon. Unless they have already been implicated. You can read
    more about it here:

I tell you, with this happening, the Enron thing and all the other problems.
I think the stock market is going to H E double hockey sticks in a basket!!!
Get your money out people while some of it is still there!!!!!

Agreed, BB! I lost over 800 dollars in one day! Now I sit on my hands and try to be optimistic about an eventual recovery. As for Martha, I think she is getting a little picked on because of her high profile. There was also, ironically, an unauthorized biography that recently came out about her which was way less than flattering (and I think that happened just before this insider trading thing. She's total fodder for the stand-up comics right now! I'm not at all a fan of hers but I always tend to stick up for the underdogs :-).
