I am looking at phones on circuitcity.com and bestbuy.com, what is the difference between 900Mhz cordless phones and 1.4 Ghz phones?

It is all to do with speed... This represents the speed at which your computer will process information(data). 650 Mhz will process 6,500,000 million instructions per second. 1.8 Ghz will process 18,000,000 million instructions per second' Ghz is heaps faster ..... http://www.donegalguide.com/Computers/Buying/buying.html

It has to do with range. Most 900mhz handsets will only work up to about 800ft away from the base. A 1.4 Ghz would probably give you about twice that range.
