I am looking at phones on circuitcity.com and bestbuy.com, what is the difference between 900Mhz cordless phones and 1.4 Ghz phones?

It has to do with range. Most 900mhz handsets will only work up to about 800ft away from the base. A 1.4 Ghz would probably give you about twice that range. Aug 07 02, 10:48 PM
