it was gene conley who played for the celts and pitched for the bosox. chuck connors never played in the majors. charley pride played minor league baseball and sang a little bit. dave debucchere played basketball for the knicks and major league baseball. galen cisco played in the NFL and was a catcher for the pirates and played basketball at osu. frank howard was an all american round balller at osu and played baseball for the dodgers,senators and the rangers.
