I agree with tented. It is thought by the English to be unlucky and is called a Nelson as it relates to what was left of him after his injuries. 1 arm, 1 leg, and 1 eye.

Before anybody creates about Nelson only having one leg, I must add that the origin of this term is based on a misconception that Admiral Horatio Nelson lost one arm, one eye and one leg in battle. Nelson did actually retain use of his legs until his death in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.

It isn't supposed to be a leg he lost in battle.....hem hem. I am sure that some readers will want to know that Umpire David Shepherd always lifts his feet in a sort of little dance when this or double Nelsons (222) etc. are scored so that the 'curse' is broken and no wicket is lost.
