Sorry I have no source billfay, but off the top of my head I would have to say Princess Diana the month and year she died. I imagine the only magazines that did not have her on the cover would be Monster Trucks and Hustler!!! LOL!! Just joking of course. I'm sure there were many that did not have her on the cover, but I bet more did than didn't. I'll come up with a source for you. I may be right, I may be wrong, but it isn't Billy Joel!! LOL!!!

I also think off the top of my head that it was Princess Diana. Even before she died, she was always on the cover of at least one magazine in the UK every month (they had an arrangement between them to avoid conflicts). Once she died, I'd guess that she was the most 'covered' story in the world.

This is the best I could do billfay, but I did think of another possible answer. O.J. Simpson in the month that the verdict was reached. I think CNN went a little overboard on their all day, every day for the length of the trial coverage. Which translates to O.J. possibly being the correct answer. Mind you, that was pretty much a North American thing. Princess Diana was the most famous, most photographed woman in the world, so it stands to reason her picture was on the most magazine covers in a month.See: http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/media/july-dec98/diana_8-28.html The two Diana covers hold the record for the most copies of TIME sold on the newsstand. That makes it not much of a stretch to say Princess Diana is the correct answer. See: http://www.time-planner.com/planner/about_time/bios/senior_editorial_staff/howard_chua-eoan.html We've certainly seen enough pictures of the princess in the months since her death to last a lifetime. See: http://www.januarymagazine.com/nonfiction/diana.html While looking for a definitive source, I came across the following, which I had not heard about until now. The Queen put up no resistance to the government's proposal to abolish primogeniture (an eldest son's right to precede an older sister to the throne). And, on her own initiative, the Queen pronounced an end to compulsory bowing and curtsying (though they're still appreciated.) That's nice to know, because as much as respect and admire her for a job well done, (it's not easy being The Queen, in my opinion) I would not bow or curtsy to anyone, compulsory or not. She may be Queen, but she is still just a person, no better or worse than anyone else. Oh my, I have digressed again!!! LOL!!! That's what happens when I'm up all night, which I have been!
