I know that honey was used for embalming it has some acidicy and since it's usaly liquid it contains water (there is dried honey).

All of these facts are true about honey. Honey's pH is 3.9, which classifies it as an acid. The Egyptians used honey on a regular basis to embalm people, as honey is one of the only foods that never spoils. Honey is 65.54% water by volume. Honey may also be used as an antiseptic for burns and ulcers.
