    Hi, Gardner McKay was a tv star in the 1950's. He starred in 'Adventures in Paradise.' He left acting and moved to Hawaii. He filmed a tragedy in the 1950's, and his films of the rescue operation were used internationally. What disaster did McKay chronicle on film?

    		McKay loved the sea. He was an experienced skipper and was sailing his boat near Nantucket where the Andrea Doria sank after a collision with the Stockholm in 1956. His lifeboat rescue photos were sped and published internationally.
