    Name the only city in the world that lies on the equator where part is north and the other part is soutn and which seasons do they use, the northern or southern hemisphere?

    		Quito, in Ecuador.......South America, lies on the equator. Could this be the city you're asking about? As for the seasons, I haven't a clue.

    		Seasons between the tropics (23 degrees North and 23 degrees South) do not match either the Northern Hemisphere or Southern Hemisphere notions of Summer and Winter. Instead, it is hottest in Spring and Autumn, with Summer and Winter as the coolest seasons.

    		There are several cities that lie on the equator- not just Quito, Ecuador. Yaren, the capital of Nauru, is another city.
