    Am currently reading a Margaret Atwood book where she describes one of her characters as wearing shoes with 'Petunia Pig' toes. Can anyone describe this fashion item?

    		I think she's referring to the old-fashioned type of open-toed shoes, which only allowed the big toe and maybe the second toe to show. I think I recall Petunia Pig wearing this type of shoe.
