    The first train station in America was built in Ellicott City, Maryland (see a photo at http://www.oldmainline.com/ellicott/bgifs/station.gif). It was built in 1830 by the B and O Railroad Company. (Source: http://www.oldmainline.com/ellicott/chronology.html)

    It is now The B and O Railroad Station Museum.
