'Dog Eat Dog' is a TV game show hosted by model Brooke Burns in which six people vote for the least likeliest person of them to do different challenges and if the people voted for complete the challenge, they get to send whoever they want to the Dog Pound. It's also a American term, type of slang if you like, for someone who is out for themselves, only caring and looking out for themselves and not giving a toss about you, me, or anyone.

"It's a dog eat dog world" means, while climbing the ladder of success in any area, you have to look out for yourself because no one else will. In fact, others will probably try to sabotage your efforts since they are trying to do the same thing, so always be on your guard.

Dog Eat Dog was a game show where six contestants competed for a prize of $25,000. The contestants would vote on who would have to play in a challenge. After being selected, the player would play a one-player challenge. If won, he or she would move on and send someone to the Dog Pound. If the challenger lost, they would be sent to the Dog Pound. At the Dog Pound, you simply sit and watch the other play through challenges, until the end. But before that time comes, the group of contestants would be narrowed down to two, where they would play a one-on-one challenge. The winner moves on and the loser is sent to the Dog Pound. They would then have a question challenge in the end where the player remaining would get to choose who would answer the question looking at only the category (like Finances or Celebrities) of the following question. The selecter player would then answer it. If correct, the Dog Pound would earn a point, but if incorrect, the player not in the Dog Pound would get a point. The first to get three points won. If the individual won, they would get $25,000, but if the Dog Pound won, the five would split $5,000 for each of them.
