    I am trying to find information on a footballer who played for Aston Villa in the twenties and thirties.So far I have drawn a blank.I have tried the Aston Villa web pages to no avail.I would be grateful for any suggestions?

    		You must be looking for a certain player so a name would be helpful. http://www.thevillan.co.uk/Records/record.html mentions some in the twenties and thirties. Have you tried - The Aston Villa Story: A Complete Record, 1874 - 1992, published by Breedon Books?

    		Tommy Rider. He also played for Kidderminster Harriers .

    		Tried my best to answer your quiery by looking in the Hamlyn Illustrated History of Aston Villa 1874-1998.Ive looked in the index and theres no sign of Tommy Rider.Theres Paul Rideout then Jimmy Rimmer but ive a feeling this index is for first team players only.Did he play for the first team?Hope you find your answer.p.s UP THE VILLA!!!!
