2.4 ghz is better because it will give the handset longer range from the base. Digital 900 mhz phones will typically work up to a maximum of 800-1000ft from the base whereas some of the best 2.4 ghz can offer up to 4000ft of range. Be careful when buying because some of the cheaper ones only use 2.4ghz in one direction. You'd want one that is true 2.4ghz- receiving and sending. Sep 01 02, 5:32 PM
