What was the fate of Dostoyevsky's first child?

Question #22166. Asked by Dunc. (Sep 01 02 7:01 PM)

    Barrow boy

Dostoyevsky's first marriage to Mariya Dmitriyevna Isayeva in 1858 was childless. She died in 1864.

His second marriage to Anna Grigorievna Snitkina on February 15 1867 did produce children. Sources vary in detail. The first child, a daughter Sofiya, was born in either Dresden or Geneva and died after only five months or three months later in 1868.
