PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE!!!! SPOILER ALERT!!! Sorry, I may have been a little ambiguous. The point I was trying to make was that Edward Norton's character was actually Tyler Durden. In the movie he didn't have a name (the names he used in groupd - eg Cornelius and the like - were made up). When he was talking to Marla on the phone he actually asked her what his name was - and she said Tyler Durden. That was the twist in the movie.... re: The whole 'Jack' thing. The Jack thing starting when the men (man) found a stack of articles written by body organs in the first person eg 'I am Jack's nipple'. He adopted this later on in the movie a few times (eg 'I am Jack's total lack of suprise' 'I am Jack's flaming sense of rejection') - but it wasn't actually his name. ...can you tell I've seen this movie a few times? :) Sep 06 02, 12:41 AM
