That's interesting.
I've never heard of a Sugar Loaf Mountain in South Africa (except as a loose name for Table Mountain hundreds of years ago that never stuck.)
Where is the mountain to which you refer situated?

" Somerset West is beautifully situated in a superb mountain environment lying at the foot of the Helderberg (Clear Mountain) overlooking False Bay.
The Helderberg mountain constitutes the northern arm of the great amphitheatre of the Hottentots Holland Mountain range. At the other extreme of the mountain range is Sir Lowry's Pass which crosses the Hottentots-Holland mountains into the Overberg and then on to the Garden Route.
Many of the intervening peaks are quaintly named including Guardian Peak, Pick Sans Nom (peak without name), New Year Peak, the Triplets, Sneeukop (Snow Mountain) which at 1590 meters is the highest point of the range and the curious Sugar Loaf."
