But Satan's descent from heaven was not described in the Bible, so there's not much point in quoting the Bible to prove anything. I think it appears in some Hebrew holy books but am not sure. It is also described in detail in Milton's Paradise Lost, which I haven't read.

In Tolkien's paraphrase of Satan's fall, it occurs before the Creation of the Universe, when God is surrounded by his angels in heaven.

There Bible gives little detail about this...but a rebellion occured in Heavan with the Angel Lucifer leading some Angels against other Angels loyal to God led by Micheal. Lucifer had been the most powerful Angel and his pride had made him challenge God - maybe because God's plan had a human to be his only Son. Lucifer loses and he and his supporters are cast out of Heaven and into Hell. Obviously some Creation has occured for this to happen - but not the Creation of Earth. Lucifer still batles God's Angels with the hope of gaining complete controll of Heavan - the Crucifixion was his ultimate defeat however. It is just a matter of time that all his power will be destroyed. Praise God.

There is a well known story about the Battle In Heaven: Lucifer, God's favorite angel, became prideful and decided to rebel against God. He formed a large group of angels under his command who then attacked the angels who remained loyal to God, these loyal angels were led by St. Michael the Archangel. After much fighting the loyal angels are victorious and Lucifier (Satan) and his disloyal angels (Demons) are cast into Hell. However, nowhere in the Bible is this story, or anything like it, told. So, from where does this famous story come from?

Where in the Bible does it say Satan is an angel cast out from Heaven?

I am seeking reference to three sections that I have seen before but cannot find. The last concerns a relic most holy used in the third battle in heaven by ArchAngel Michael and the Host of Light to defeat Satan. It is called the cross of light and the three names of power. Apparently the Absynnian cross legend is based upon it.
