    I have a passion flower in the garden, which now has a number of fruits. Are they related to the Passion Fruit which you can eat?

    		The answer is no, but the plants are related. The scientific name for Passion
    Fruit is passiflora edulis. Passion Flower or Maypop is passiflora. See:

    		Well, that sure didn't make much sense, and sorry about the blank post. It has
    been a rough day. When I answered no, I meant it wasn't the same plant and fruit
    as Passion Fruit. Passion Flower is edible, it is used as a herb, but is not the
    same as the fruit.
    The second site tells you how to use it as a herb and for what ailments.
