The Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires is large but not the largest. The Palais Garnier in Paris was the largest when it was built but isn't the largest now. I need the answer to this myself! Jul 12 06, 11:35 AM

The Metropolitan is quite a bit larger than both the Palais Garnier (seats approx 1900) and the Colon (seats approx 2800). The Met seats about 3900. Nov 29 06, 12:13 PM
