I've gone for 'Structure' Kuria . So the answer is The Eiffel Tower . 1889 Eiffel Tower of a height of 300 (984ft) meters. Empire State Building Built: 1931 Type: skyscraper, commercial office tower Height: 102 floors, 1454 feet The Empire State Building (1,250 feet) exceeds the height of the Eiffel Tower (984.5 feet) by only 265.5 feet Chrysler Building 1928--1930 Skyscraper, commercial office tower Height: 1048 feet .It was the tallest building in the world until the Empire State Building was built. library.thinkquest.org/26491/ db-style.php3?browser=3 and styleIndex=9 and a few other sources.......

In any case the Chrysler Building was taller than the Eiffel Tower before they put the TV antenna on it. According the OED 'a structure' is 'thing constructed, complex whole, a building'.

What a great site you have found. Here's an extract from {it;} 'A symbol of Paris worldwide. 985' high rugged tracery of iron work. Commission from competition victory.' and from the Official Site: Identity Card: Height 324m (height with flagpole) (324m x 3.28 = 1062.72 feet) Chrysler 1048' I wonder if this includes a flagpole. If it does not then you are probably right. Then perhaps it is The Palace of Lasa..... I wonder if crackers has gone crackers interpreting our banter.... I'm gone. See you on the net....... http://www.greatbuildings.com/cgi-bin/glk?http://www.tour-eiffel.fr/indexuk.html
