    		Most career home runs by a pitcher is 36 by Wes Ferrell who played for Cleveland,Boston,Washington,New York.....Most career homers by National League pitcher is 35 by Warren Spahn of Boston and Milwaukee Braves.............. Most homers in a season by pitcher is 9 by Wes Ferrell in 1931....National league record is 7 by Don Drysdale who did it twice in 1958 and 1965,and Don Newcombe in 1955.

    		Wes Ferrell has hit more career home runs than any other pitcher in Major League history and Bump Hadley served up Ferrell's first long ball on July 10, 1929.
