Chemical weapons could mean either explosive weapons or ones with chemicals which can poison the victims. In either case their damage will be confined to where they hit. Biological weapons have diseases in them which can wipe out the local population but can also spread to a much wider area.

I would have to disagree a tiny bit. in my opinion, least to most deadly: Mechanical weapons: expolsives, projectiles, rock, sword, so on... kills by knocking you in the head. neuclear: h bomb, atomic bomb... kills by burns, blunt force, radiation. chemical: mustard gas, and a bunch of other gases... kills mostly as nerve toxin and stopping vital processes. biological: usage of bacteria and virii to casue disease... you get sick and then you die One of the earliest usage of biological weapon were by {romans;} throwing carcasses of dead animals into thier enemy's water supply.
