Bob Crane was murdered in his hotel room, most likely while he was asleep. The killer smashed the side of his head in, and then tried to strangle the actor with a VCR cord, but by this time Crane was already dead. Because of Crane's entertainment lifestyle police were never able to pinpoint which suspect actually did the killing. You can see the entire artice on crimelibrary.
