Does hyperspace really exsist?

Mathematicians and physicists have theories which involve dimensions other than the four we know and love (3 space 1 time). They use these theories to explain effects in the very small things that go on inside atoms. But they don't really exist in any form that is tangible to us. Within four-dimensional space time, it is possible that there are wormholes which connect one part of space to another, as in Star Trek Deep Space Nine, but nobody has ever found one.
