The World Series uses a 2-3-2 game format, ie team 1 host the first two, team 2 hosts the next three, then back to team1's yard. Have the series ever used a different format given that seven games make up the Series?

Before the 2-3-2 format there was the 2-2-1-1-1 format but with the conceivably great amounts of travel (ie a NY- LA series) they switched to the 2-3-2 format to cut down on travel time. Oct 24 02, 8:43 PM
