    When was the first sausage invented?

    		No one will ever know who invented the sausage. But it is one of the oldest forms of processed food, having been mentioned in Homer's Odyssey as long ago as the 9th Century BC and there are also references even further back to 1500 BC in Babylon according to http://www.westlerfoods.com/funhistory.htm
