For many years Jimmy Durante closed his show with the words 'Good night Mrs Calabash, wherever you are' - this was his catchphrase. The only quote I can find about Mrs Petticaras is from the 1975 film The Wind and the Lion - 'Mrs Petticaras, you are a lot of trouble'. Maybe, the quote also came from the film, but it was certainly a spoof on Jimmy Durante's catchphrase.
