To understand the matter a little more deeply you need to understand what the Qur'an and the Hadith say. The Hadith represents the sayings of Muhammad the Prophet of Allah, and consequently these are widely believed in the Islamic world to be the thoughts of Allah. Much more is recorded in the Hadith about homosexuality, and both gay and lesbian practices are condemned. Having said that, the question is in what Islamic countries is homosexuality a crime. Generally, it will be all, but the severity of the sentences will vary from country to country.
