A packhorse and a mule, both heavily laden, were walking along side by side. The horse complained of the weight of his load. The mule retorted, 'What are you complaining about...If they gave me just one of the sacks you are carrying, my load would be as twice as heavy as yours. On the other hand (or should I say hoof), if they gave you just one of my sacks, our loads would be the same.' If all the sacks weigh the same, how many sacks is the horse carrying, and how many is the mule carrying?

The horse has 5 sacks, the Mule has 7. If the mule took 1 off the horse it would have 8 against 4, and if the horse took one from the mule, they would have 6 each.
