In 'Fight Club' when Edward Norton tells Marla to stop coming to the support groups she says, "Candy stripe a cancer ward, it's not my problem." What does she mean by that?

Question #23841. Asked by Penny. (Nov 03 02 11:04 AM)

    Jac

Candy Stripers are volunteer workers in hospitals (I think this is solely a US thing). They're called Candy Stripers because they wear (wore?) striped pullovers/tops in candy colours.
