How does the NFL determine the playoff teams and who plays who after the regular season?

Right you ready for this..this Season the NFL is divided into 2 conferences,each sub-divided into 4 Divisions,north,south,east and west,each division has 4 teams,Each team plays a 16 game season spread over 17 weeks,Each Conference works on the same basis,at the end of the regular season,The 4 division winners plus the team other than the division winners with the beat record go to the playoffs,(this is called the wildcard team), the team with the worst division record will play the wildcard team, thus leaving 4 teams(the Divisional games) the 2 winners then play each other(the championship game)the winner of this game represents their Conference in the SUPERBOWL,, hope that was'nt to misleading for you..
