If we tie a light oxygen tank to a bird so that it can breathe on the moon, would the bird fly faster, slower, or the same speed as it does on earth (Remember there is less gravity on the moon)?

Just heard on the news a lab in Switzerland has found a way to make light travel faster or slower than the speed of light or even stop, any truth to this? What bird can fly backwards, and is the only one that can do so? Who was the first woman to fly faster than the speed of sound? According to Einstein's theory, mass expands as it nears the speed of light. Once an object reaches the speed of light, which cannot happen according to Einstein's theory, supposedly the mass of the object would reach infinity. With that said, why can people from 'Star Trek' travel faster than the speed of light?
