    If a nickel is worth five cents, how much is half of one half of a nickel worth?

    		nothing, once a nickle is cut in half even once the coin has no value

    		It may not be true of nickels, but it wasn't uncommon for coins to be cut in half to make smaller denominations for use in little transactions. Old UK farthings and pennies sometimes turn up cut in half.
