No the future is always ahead and changing. The nearest we come to ther future is what briefly becomes the present and then stays for ever as the past.

The Newtonian view of the world was that the future already exists and we move into it in a predetermined way. Since each interaction of atoms is governed by predictable laws, the outcome is also predictable. Quantum Mechanics changed all that. Certain microscopic events are governed by chance. There are two views: 1. The future does not exist in advance. It is decided by each random event as it happens. 2. There are lots of possible futures all of which exist in advance. For each random event which may or may not happen, there are two futures. We move into one of the two futures so that determines the outcome of the random event, but another copy of us moves into the other future, seeing the event happening the other way. So for every possible combination of events there is a world where that happens.
