What is the name of those fish that 1. the male jumps and puts some weird stuff (like glue.i think) in a leaf 2.he attracts a female 3. they both jump as one really cool 4. the female puts eggs the male puts sperm 5. the male uses his tail fin to splash water into the eggs to keep them wet....whats the name?

Sounds like the Spraying Characin, which deposits its eggs on the underside of leaves overhanging a river. Both adults actually leap from the water onto a leaf and eight to ten eggs are then fertilised and the process is repeated until all the eggs have been laid. Nov 27 02, 3:04 PM
